In the 20 years that I've been taking pictures, the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Hosni Mubarak, and Boris Yeltsin have found their way to the end of my lens. I've photographed James Earl Jones (what do you say to Darth Vader?), Michael Stipe, and Dennis Miller. My photos have landed on the pages of Vanity Fair, Time, Newsweek, Fortune, USA Today and Washingtonian magazine, among others.

I love to meet "the movers and shakers", ride on Air Force One and chat with Clinton, or hang out with Natalie Merchant's band (I actually drove The Maniacs to the location, while the singer traveled by limo).

I have had assignments in some remote corners of the world like Iwo Jima and Mongolia.

But some of my favorite moments have come when an alumni magazine calls me to photograph one of their own: a business leader, a doctor, or retired military officer, who has done something remarkable.

Working with education clients, such as ASCD and the City of Fairfax Schools, makes me appreciate the value and promise of our schools, teachers, and kids. Embarking on a photo shoot for a technology publication or trade association gives me access to another piece of the world that I would never have seen had I not become a photojournalist.

I work hard to be as effective as possible for my clients. They are the boss. I am lucky to have the opportunity to do what I do. Oh yea, and I play the mandolin!

I am based in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area, but am happy to travel to photo shoots in the mid-Atlantic region, the country, and the world. Please contact me for assignments or with questions: 703 914-5445 (office); 703 887-4223 (cell).
